Extrude Shape to Linear Form

Creates a 3D linear form from a shape that has a minimum of four sides.

  • Sets the position of the linear form relative to the selected shape:
  • The form is constructed above (in the positive Y axis of) the selected shape.
  • The linear form is constructed centered on the selected shape.
The linear form is constructed below (in the negative Y axis of) the selected shape.
Height Specifies the height of the form, unless a shape or form above prohibits extrusion. If a shape above only partially blocks extrusion, Height controls the portion of the form that can be extruded past the overlying shape or form. Enabled when the Top > Fixed Height option is selected.
Note: Height extrusion direction is defined by either the Z-axis, perpendicular to the view; or, if AccuDraw is on, by the AccuDraw Z-axis.
Angle Specifies the angle between the form face and base for each side. Select one angle option for each side face, in order, as identified in the tool settings window:
  • Horizontal — The face is parallel to the global XY plane.
  • Vertical — The face of the form is perpendicular to the global XY plane.
  • Angle — Specifies the number in degrees of the angle between the base shape and the face of the form. Entering 0.00 results in a face perpendicular to the shape’s base; a negative value produces an angle greater than 90 degrees; a positive value produces an angle less than 90 degrees.
Delete Constructions

When on, the element from which the linear form was extruded is deleted.
